    Following total business strategy, developing category specific strategies and implementing communication of category strategy to wider team encouraging engagement range development, range selection, range review and utilizing competitive analysis. To input into strategic direction, identify & support implementation of future sales opportunities, support the implementation of new products within the luxury timepiece category. To implement campaign and promotional activity; Pricing, Promotion & Ranging, within the strategic framework.  Management of all categories with full ownership and responsibility - range reviews, product development and supplier relationships.  Global trends and predictions in conjunction with total market awareness Understanding of external and internal factors that impact upon pricing and implementing strategies to explore opportunities and risk areas. Building key working relationships with the peers within internal teams such as Retail, Marketing, Quality Control, Learning & Development and Ecommerce.

    • Generation of ideas for product development and communicating effectively to the team for implementation
    • Reviewing of costings and negotiating with timepiece vendors
    • Challenging teams to review open costing OTB to seek cost benefits or required adjustments based on global trends/climat
    • Utilizing open costing information for informed negotiations
    • Overseeing that our quality standards are adhered via sampling etc.
    • Reviewing competitive pricing analysis to aid with range realignments
    • Presentation of sign off deck to Director for final sign off
    • Sign off of launch pack for new product launches ahead of publishing
    • Monday sales reporting utilized for identifying product and selling opportunities and risks and taking according actions
    • Weekly departmental competitive pricing full listing and product assortment information reviewed and understood, agreeing any proposed changes
    • Developing and building key supplier relationships
    • Proposals on supplier base and strategy, with new supply alternatives suggested
    • Management of supplier relationship through scheduling regular meetings and review periods
    • Liasing with internal teams such as retail, learning & development, marketing, ecommerce and quality control
    • Building key working relationships with internal teams such as marketing, retail, learning & development, ecommerce and quality control
    • Generation of product collections/ideas and presenting a final business proposal to Merchandising Director including key financials
    • Review proposals presented on pricing, product opportunities, discontinuations and exit plans for non performing products
    • Support the strategic direction to maintain a clear focus on the customer and brand handwriting
    • Continually improves market share and position of product categories



    • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.



    • Three to five years of merchandising/buying experience in a retail environment
    • Significant Retail Management/Sales experience in luxury retail


    C.    SKILLS

    • Knowledge of luxury timepieces
    • High level of proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • SAP knowledge preferred
